This evening I was invited to Jonathan Mannian’s opening reception at Milk Gallery in NYC. The collection is called Rough Around The Edges which consist of 665 Polaroids of famous music artists and actors. Now of course all of them were not on the exhibit floor but they did have a projector that displayed the remaining phonographs throughout the night. Despite how jam packed the venue was and sweat that proceeded to trickle down my back, I really enjoyed my cultured experience and everyone was pretty chill and inviting. Go down to Milk Gallery and check this out. It is on display from June 18th to July 7th. You won’t be disappointed.

This summer it’s all about prints, texture and bright colors. Being half Ghanaian, these are all too familiar to the style that we wear back home. I can’t wait to bring out my colorful tops and scarves that represent Ghana to the fullest. I’m just glad everyone else finally caught on :)
